Editorial Standards
Komposite News reports facts we can verify and clearly distinguishes reporting from analysis and opinion. News stories describe what happened. Pieces labeled Analysis interpret events and draw conclusions from evidence. Pieces labeled Opinion argue a point of view and represent their author.
We attribute information to sources wherever possible, grant anonymity only when information is significant and cannot otherwise be obtained, and independently verify claims before publishing them. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, and staff may not trade on non-public information obtained through reporting.
Sponsored or partner content, when it appears, is labeled unambiguously and is never presented in editorial form without that label. Errors, when they occur, are corrected promptly and transparently under our corrections policy.
