Nuvacore, a six-month-old San Jose chip startup with no product yet, is raising hundreds of millions of dollars at a valuation of about $2.5bn, Reuters reported on Friday. The round has not closed and the company declined to comment.
Brian Kostiuk via UnsplashArena, which runs a crowdsourced AI model leaderboard, raised $200m at a $3.1bn valuation on Thursday and previewed an alignment index for AI agents. It says annualised revenue exceeds $100m, and it sells evaluation services to model developers it also ranks.
TypeSafe AI's Jev answers questions in typed values, not sentences. Weeks after its launch the company has raised $870m at a $7.5bn valuation, and its investor and its founder disagree about how many of the Fortune 500 already use it.
Harness has bought the products and the team of Augment Code, the AI coding startup that came out of stealth in 2024 with $252m at a valuation just under $1bn. Neither side disclosed a price, and the deal does not appear to cover the whole company.
A company that has not yet reached orbit has now raised $2.3bn on the argument that the second stage has to come back too.
The stage kept its name and changed its meaning. Seed money now arrives after the evidence that once justified a Series A.
